Welcome To a 'My Aquarium' Web Space

Introduction
This service is designed so that fellow enthusiasts who are into fish or reefkeeping, but are not computer whizzkids, can easily showcase their aquariums.
Basically if you can fill out a simple form, you can create up to a 8 page web site on 'My Aquarium' web space. Including text, pictures, picture galleries and even 3 small videos.
There is no costly purchasing and upkeep of a seperate domain name involved. Neither will you be waiting for months in the hope that a major search engine may eventually find your new domain name. Once you have created your mini site, and we have checked it out for you, it becomes part of the larger Miniaturereef.com experience.
You can continue to use the free pages with the included google advertismants for FREE, or you can pay $8 a month for the premium service:
This removes the google advert space from your pages.
Have a go at showcasing your aquarium!

Overview
You can have up to 8 pages of content, not to exceed the generous 20MB of space we make available for you.
Although you have the ability to create 8 pages, you may not wish to, so the system has been made very flexible.
For example you may find, to begin with, that you only have enough content to produce a couple of pages. This is not a problem. Just fill out the forms for the pages you want to use. The unused pages will not be created. Neither will you be left with links pointing to non-existant pages. The same goes for pictures or video, if you dont want to use it, leave it blank and the template will produce your page for you as if it was never supposed to be there.
To give you maximum flexibility, whilst still providing your pages with some structure, we have divided the eight pages into three types.

Types of Pages
The first three pages are for general use. Indeed, this very page is an example of a 'general use page'.
Such pages can hold a mixture of text and pictures.
The text is divided into 6 main blocks. Each of which can have it's own title and picture, aligned to the left or right.
As mentioned in the overview, you don't have to use all the text blocks or pictures. In fact, in practice the number of pictures you would want to use will depend partially on the amount of text you have. You will notice that on this page we have only used 4 of the possible 6 pictures.
The next two pages are for your picture galleries. Each page holds one gallery of 10 pictures with captions. Below the galleries you can have up to 3 blocks of text, plenty of room to wax lyrical about your favorite pictures.

The final 3 pages designed for short videos showing off those special areas of your aquarium. If you can record video from your aquarium onto your computer (or know someone who can), save it in a popular web suitable format ready for uploading.
The video pages accept video in the following formats:
Windows Media Video
Realmedia Video
Quicktime Video
Flash Video
One of the easiest methods to use, if you have windows xp or vista available, is to capture and process the video on the Windows Movie Maker that Microsoft kindly provide for you.
You can then upload them into your video page with the simple click of a button from the page template.
As with the gallery pages, we still give you up to three blocks of text to comment or explain particular aspects of your video.
We Can Help You
If you are either too busy to spend the time, or would just rather pay someone else to do the work for you, we can help.
For a payment of $30 via Pay Pal, to MiniatureReef.Com we will produce the pages for you. The Payment can currently be accepted via Pay Pal, using the 'Premium Services' link in the side bar (on the left).
Once payed up, all you will have to do is send us the content, via a special upload page you will be given access to.
Please Note:
Text content must be in a form that is compatible with Microsoft Office, or preferably a plain text (.txt) document.
Pictures must be in the jpeg format.
Video files can be windows media video, Macromedia Flash Video, Quicktime Video or 'realvideo' format.
Please ask BEFORE PAYING if you want to use any other file formats to deliver your web page content to us.
It doesn't get any more painless than that.
